Keep track of those little bits of code

If you're a smart programmer, you know that you should never have to write the same piece of code twice. Once you've figured out how to get the job done, you don't need to reinvent the wheel; rather, you just re-use functions, procedures, and other snippets of code again and again. Of course the challenge there is keeping track of all those chunks of brilliance and finding the one you need when you need it.

Snippet Manager is a tool that can help you keep track of it all. Write your code (just once!), and copy and paste it into the code window. Indicate the language your code is written in (it supports 37 different languages, including VB, C++, Java, PHP, and more), note any dependencies, and save your snippet. It supports code saved on your local machine, or even on the 'Net in either HTTP or FTP repositories. Finding your code is easy as well, with built in search functionality that lets you query based on snippet names, keywords, or even the source code itself.

You can grab Snippet Manager for free. It's a Windows application, and requires version 3.5 of the .NET Framework.
